Not an icon or mix update (I have 300+ icons sitting in a folder, finished, right now; I've just been supremely busy and lazy about uploading and posting, but that'll come soon, I promise!), but I do have an announcement of shameless promotion!

fandomhigh is an obsession my life a multi-fandom LJ-based role-playing game going on strong after many, many years. The setting is a Verah Special Island, with a boarding school, and plenty of insanity. The characters are great, the players are awesome, and you know you want to come join us! It's a very active game, and incredibly addicting. It's also what got me into icon making in general and what inspired a lot of the icons I made (mmm, PBs!). Please check it out!

ETA: Currently, our servers for a lot of the technical stuff is down, so if you DO check it out, please keep in mind that it might not go through. You can always email stuff to my personal email, though, on my userinfo and I'll make sure it gets to the right place.

I've had this fanmix stuck in my head for a while, and so now that not_a_mused and minnesota_teen have finally taken that break-up plunge over at fandomhigh, I went ahead and made it! It follows the slow progression of their friendship into a relationship and then (hopefully) back again.

And may I also mention that could there be a more perfect song than the last one? I THINK NOT.

Holy crap, an update! Life has been kind of crazy, with a new house, new car, and just generally getting situated. A lot of icons have accumulated, so there's a big post to make up for the lack of activity. We've got a batch of younger Camilla Belle, which I made for a wee-tiny event at fandomhigh, the usual Zooey and Jena, some random things that include a lot of images from Stan Brown's Bestiary for DragonLance, some from the movie Drop Dead Gorgeous (mostly Amber with minnesota_teen in mind!), and, most importantly, MINSC! My newest character! And probably the most Minsc icons ever, even if some of them are from stolen fanart and a good chunk of them are photoshopped images of Michael Chiklis. He'd make a great Minsc, though! And some crappy Scrapped Princess; man I loved that anime. It made me cry!

Holy crap, I finally made a fanmix! And figured out how to do all the fancy-schmancy uploading stuff!

This fanmix is to celebrate the fact that fandomhigh is currently accepting applications until August 22nd! If you'd really like to join a great big, varied, and entertaining LJ-based RP, I highly recommend this one. It practically owes me my life.

I figured a fanmix would be a good way to promote it, especially a shipping mix, because it shows some of the crazy connections and stories you can build in a pan-fandom game like fandomhigh. These are all some of my more pervasive ships that I've actually played, and there's a little bit of a sample lyric that embodies the choice, and I hope to make a lot more mixes eventually! Until then, enjoy! And go app a new character at fandomhigh!

Holy crap, finally an update! I got into a bit of a slump this month. Either way, we've got some of the marvelous work of Banksy in iconized form. Then there's a set of Cillian Murphy, including one that's a bit specific to not_a_mused over at fandomhigh. THERE"S ALSO A BUTT ICON!! Fiona Apple got a set this time around as well because when I started this post, I could not stop listening to Extraordinary Machine, and then there's Zooey, just because.

This batch came out good and quick! Behold! For I bring an attempt at some hopefully non-Starbuck-ish icons of Katee Sackhoff, a small Saved! set, some great new Zooey Deschanel icons made mostly from all the new images of her thanks to The Happening (which I've yet to see; is it really as awful as I hear?), and then some really random, slightly stupid text icons involving jokes that probably no one else will get. Finally, the reason why I'm so late in another update is revealed! You try making 100+ (that's right, more than 100, even if just by three!) icons of Chad from Bleach! I figured the boy does not get enough icon love, and made an effort to fix that. A lot of them are variations, but there's got to be more than 50 original ones in there! Hoo man. That was an intense project, but I hope it turned out well!

There's also a small set of Sex and the City, focusing on Charlotte, now that she's my new baby over at fandomhigh. Also, since fandomhigh is currently accepting applications (JOIN JOIN JOIN, I say, as if the majority of people watching this journal aren't realy members, heh!), there's some fandomhigh promo-icons. I also went ahead and included the small set of icons I made for fandomhigh's Infamous Wee-Tiny weekend for my characters, so there's wee!Jena Malone (mostly from Stepmom) and some Rachel Pattee (who played the younger version of Zooey Deschanel's character in Tinman!).
